Forest Bathing @ IJAMS Nature Center

We all know that being in nature is good for our wellbeing, but often we don't know how to slow down and just BE to receive all the healing, restorative gifts she has to offer us.

During this two hour immersive experience you will be guided through a series of relaxing activities designed to help you slow down, mindfully engage with and explore the natural world through your senses, as you discover new ways of being in and with nature.

Forest bathing is different from educational nature programs in that the purpose is not to learn any new information, but to experience and connect with nature.  Much like you would not read a book or study facts about a new friend - forest bathing facilitates a way of deeper knowing and understanding of the natural world..

This event  is NOT a hike and involves very minimal walking.  We will spend the entirety of our time together in the same area near the Miller building.  During the event we will alternate between gathering as a group and wandering about exploring on our own with suggested  prompts provided by your guide.

The purpose of this event is to create a space for you to have a meaningful, restorative  experience in nature.  Therefore, all activities offered during the event are optional for you to participate in or adapt as you like.
